About Gretta

Gretta Scholz grew up in Winthrop, Wash., and skied for Liberty Bell High School. At Colby College she qualified for the NCAA Championships three times, starting in 2022 as part of the first full Colby women's Nordic team to qualify for the national championships, and scored points for the Mules at the 2024 NCAAs. She graduated with a biology degree and joined the team's development program, then moved up to the Continental team in 2024. In her first pro season she placed sixth in the SuperTour freestyle sprint in Cable, won the 20K freestyle mass start at the CCSA Championships in Houghton, and finished ninth at the American Birkebeiner. In 2026 she placed 15th twice at the Anchorage SuperTours and 11th in the mass start at the Canadian Championships. A distance skate specialist, she is motivated by training with teammates and wants to help younger skiers find their way in the sport.
