SNØ x CXC
Legacy Relay

Every leg funds the next one.

For 61 years, two CXC Junior National Teams have carried the region forward: Central, which became Midwest, and Great Lakes. Now alumni, athletes and parents are passing the tag to the next generation. Members can give as little as $5/month to be a part of it.

The graphic names Linnea Ousdigian of Midwest as a two-time U.S. Junior National Champion in 2026, with the CXC Ski and SNØ Racing marks along the bottom.

The SNØ x CXC Legacy Relay is a monthly giving program for everyone who skied, coached or cheered for a CXC Junior National Team from 1965 to present, whether Midwest, which began as Central, or Great Lakes. Members can give as little as $5/month to be a part of it, keeping the region's best skiers racing, from Junior Nationals to the World Cup.

The program is run by Snø Racing (formerly Team Birkie), the professional Nordic ski team in Minneapolis, in partnership with CXC.

Every skier who made a Junior National Team got there on someone else's work.

A coach drove the van.

A parent covered the flight.

Someone waxed skis before sunrise.

The costs keep growing. Junior Worlds, U18 Scando, national camps and a season of senior racing push talented athletes out of the sport every year. The Legacy Relay is how 61 years of teams hand it forward.

Scramble Leg

$5/month

Active athletes under 30

You're still racing, and you're already part of the Relay. The Scramble Leg is the opening leg: mass start, elbows out, setting up everyone behind you. Five dollars a month puts your name on the team that funds the juniors coming up behind you.

Start Your Leg

Next Leg

$20/month

Every relay needs every leg. If $50 a month isn't realistic right now, Next Leg keeps you on the team. Your membership goes toward the same things: athlete aid, Junior Worlds and U23 Worlds support, national camps, and getting the next generation to the start line.

Join the Next Leg

Anchor Leg

$100/month

The anchor skis the last leg: the strongest skier on the team, trusted to close the gap and finish the race. Anchor Leg members carry the most weight in the Relay, funding Junior Worlds and U23 Worlds trips, national camps, and the wax and coach support behind every start.

Bring It Home

Your membership goes to Snø Racing athletes and, through grants, Central Region juniors across the Midwest and Great Lakes.
